The DEPOT is locally owned and operated as a not-for-profit enterprise by the MCC Resource Center, Inc. Board of Directors whose mission is to support the Mennonite Central Committee, the relief, service and development agency of the Mennonite and Brethren in Christ Churches.

The Material Aid Collection Center as well as Ten Thousand Villages, Whistle Stop, and Switch Yard are staffed by volunteers.

The Board and supporters share a spiritual motivation to make a difference, as expressed in I John 2:17, "if anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?"
